Pi Kappa Alpha Boy Scout Scholarship
Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to Indiana State University students who are members of the Theta Omicron Chapter of Pi Kappa Alpha and are in the semester following their initiation into the Theta Omicron Chapter, and who meet the following criteria:
- Have obtained a minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or higher in the semester of their initiation
- Have achieved the rank of First Class in the Boy Scouts of America and are therefore eligible to receive a $250 scholarship
- Have achieved the rank of Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of American and are therefore eligible to receive a $500 scholarship
- Recipients of the scholarship could receive one or the other scholarship, but not both
- More than one scholarship may be awarded in an academic year so long as the amount of the scholarships awarded does not exceed the balance in the spending account
- Scholarships are not renewable
- The preference is not to award more than $1,000 during each academic year
- In the event there are more applicants for the scholarship who have met the above criteria than awardable dollars, the award(s) shall be given to those students with the highest cumulative grade point average
- Scholarships shall be awarded in the academic semester following recipients’ initiation
- Applicants for the scholarship must be on-campus students
