Department of Communication General Scholarship

Depending on availability of funds, the Communication faculty select students for awards in the following categories: Outstanding Junior in Communication, Outstanding Sophomore in Communication, Outstanding Freshman in Communication, Achievement in Communication and Culture, Achievement in Journalism, Achievement in Media Studies, and Achievement in Public Relations. Please provide a statement (not to exceed 400 words) in which you document your achievements in Communication and your contributions to our programs and/or university and community programs relevant to your work as a Communication major. Write to give the selecting faculty a sense of why you should receive one of these awards.
