James Glenn and Marga Lee Backes Families Scholarship

The purpose of the James Glenn and Marga Lee Backes Scholarship is to provide scholarship support to students planning to major in programs related to Communication, Public Relations, Digital Media, Journalism, Media or Film Production and other communication related programs in the College of Arts and Sciences. This scholarship is created to honor the memory of the James Glenn and Marga Lee Backes families. Dr. James G. Backes was a Professor of Speech at Indiana State University from 1971 to 1993.

Recipients must: be undergraduate or graduate students in good standing and with a major in programs related to Communication; recipients must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0; recipients must be sophomores, juniors, seniors, or graduate students; not automatically renewable, but past recipients may reapply if eligible.
