Evelyn M. Dixon and Thomas A. Clark Education Scholarship

Evelyn M. Dixon and her brother, Thomas A. Clark, grew up in Newton County, Indiana and both attended Indiana State University. Both received financial assistance to attend Indiana State. It is the purpose of this scholarship to assist students from Newton County who plan to teach elementary education in the STEM area, or major in a STEM-related field.

A recipient must be enrolled full-time at ISU; preference to students from Newton County, IN; if no qualifying student from Newton County, then a student from a rural area of Benton or Jasper counties may be selected; preference to students with financial need; preference to elementary education or secondary education major with a focus on Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or a major in a STEM field; must be sophomore, junior, or senior in year of award; may be renewed but student must reapply.
