The Burns Senseman Endowed Scholarship in Engineering and Technology

The purpose of this scholarship is to support women studying engineering and technology at Indiana State University, and to honor the legacy of Professor Emeritus Richard Lyons Burns and his wife, Ruth Virginia Naber Burns. Dr. Burns served on the College of Technology faculty from 1964 to 1995 as professor of industrial and mechanical technology. Dr. Burns was instrumental in developing the mechanical technology program.

Must be majoring in the AETM or ECET departments within BCET; sophomore/junior/senior in year of award; minimum GPA of 2.5; financial need may be considered; preference to students who have demonstrated leadership in engineering and technology; not automatically renewable but may reapply.
