Michael D. Buzash Romance Languages Scholarship - Spanish
This scholarship is established in cooperation with Mr. Buzash, ISU Class of 1953, to provide support for outstanding students studying Spanish at Indiana State University. Recipients should represent a high quality of work in Spanish and outside the Department in other coursework, and be committed to academic excellence.
(1) A full-time student.
(2) Attained the minimum grade point average of 3.6 or equivalent in Spanish courses and minimum of 3.5 overall.
(3) Has completed at least one year of Spanish at ISU (two courses, at least one per semester).
(4) Awarding the scholarship to a current freshman for their sophomore year is the first preference.
(5) Awarding the scholarship to a current sophomore or junior for their junior or senior year is the second preference.
(6) Must not have completed more than one year of study of Spanish in high school, and must never have lived in a Spanish-speaking environment, including speaking Spanish at home.
