Ann Schneider Excellence in lndustry Annual Scholarship

The intent of this scholarship is to provide support annually to one student at lndiana State who is studying engineering or mechanical engineering technology, to encourage Sycamores to consider a career with Allison Transmission, lnc., and to share with others the encouragement and opportunity that the donor experienced at lndiana State and that helped propel her into a pioneering career at Allison in lndianapolis.

Furthermore, if the recipient of this award chooses to apply for an internship at Allison Transmission, the Donor will endorse the recipient’s internship application.

Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to one lndiana State University student that meets the following criteria:
-Must demonstrate financial need, as determined by the Office of Financial Aid.
-Must be majoring in Mechanical Engineering Technology or Engineering.
-Must have a GPA of 3.2 or higher.
-Must be a sophomore or junior in the academic year for which the scholarship money is awarded.
-Must demonstrate community engagement as reflected in their response to this essay question (250 words or less): ""How would an internship at Allison Transmission contribute to your educational experience at ISU and help you achieve your career goals?""
-This scholarship is awarded on an annual basis, and recipients may not reapply to receive the scholarship in subsequent years.
-Preference will be given to women, though all students who meet the other criteria shall be considered eligible regardless of gender.
