Robert Casey Securing Our Future Scholarship

The Robert Casey Securing Our Future Scholarship is provided by ISU criminology graduate Robert Casey, who served a career of more than 40 years as a Houston Police Officer, FBI Special Agent, and Chief Security Officer of Eli Lilly and Company. The scholarship is intended to support ISU students in the School of Criminology and Security Studies who are interested in pursuing careers in public service and corporate or private security services. It is the donors’ hope that the education afforded will produce graduates who have gained an understanding of the importance of these institutions in our American democracy, as well as enhance the professionalism of these career fields.

A recipient must be a U.S. citizen; must be an undergraduate student in good standing enrolled in a major within the School of Criminology and Security Studies; applicant must have the intent to pursue a career in the criminal justice system (includes local, state, or federal law enforcement, corrections, probation and parole, and prosecutorial careers), U.S. intelligence community, U.S. national security community (includes both civilian and military officer careers), or corporate security including the cybersecurity industry; must be sophomore, junior, or senior in year of award; must have minimum GPA of 3.0; financial need shall be considered; applicants must submit one-page essay.
