James and Carol Skillman Award for Mental Attitude in Athletics

The intent of this scholarship is to provide support to students enrolled at Indiana State University who are members of the Theta Omicron chapter of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity, and who excel in mental attitude, scholarship, leadership, and athletic ability. This scholarship is created by James H. Skillman, an alumnus of the Theta Omicron chapter of Pi Kappa Alpha, and his wife Carol, in order to honor the achievements of current members of the fraternity at ISU.

A recipient must be an active member in good standing of the Theta Omicron chapter of Pi Kappa Alpha; must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher; must excel in leadership, athletic ability, and mental attitude, as determined by the selection committee; not automatically renewable but recipients may reapply for subsequent awards. Scholarship selections and awards are subject to NCAA rules and regulations pertaining to student athletes.
