Michael D. Buzash Romance Languages Scholarship - French

This scholarship is established in cooperation with Mr. Buzash, ISU Class of 1953, to provide support for outstanding students studying French at Indiana State University. Recipients should represent a high quality of work in French and outside the Department in other coursework; be committed to academic excellence; have respect for the University and the faculty; exhibit a high potential for success in a chosen career in French; and demonstrate a positive attitude in class towards learning, dependability, and promptness.

(1) A full-time student.
(2) Attained the minimum grade point average of 3.6 or equivalent in French courses and minimum of 3.5 overall.
(3) Has completed at least one year of French at ISU (two courses, at least one per semester).
(4) Awarding the scholarship to a sophomore for their junior year is the first preference.
(5) Awarding the scholarship to a junior for their senior year is the second preference.
(6) Must not have lived in a French-speaking environment, including a French-speaking family.
(7) If two or more students are eligible, the student with the most hours completed in the department should receive the award.
