World Travel Scholarship

The World Travel Award is a $1000 grant given annually to help one undergraduate or graduate student at Indiana State University travel abroad through either a formal academic program or a well-crafted independent itinerary. The award is funded by faculty, staff, and alumni wishing to impart to deserving students the many benefits of world travel.

The applicant must be in good academic standing, and must plan to complete the travel experience either while an ISU student or within three months of graduation. Preference shall be given to those who have not yet traveled abroad; a student may only receive the award once. In addition to providing one ISU academic reference and one personal reference, the applicant shall submit a 250-word statement describing the proposed trip’s destination, itinerary, purpose, and relevance to the student’s present course of study and future plans and whether this will be his/her first time abroad.
