State Works

State Works is a program designed to assist Indiana residents with paying for college while earning real world experience at the same time. State Works Awards are offered to select first-year students who are Indiana residents, admitted without condition to Indiana State University, completed the FAFSA by April 15, and have demonstrated financial need.

Details: 100 awards available on a first-come basis; Renewable for two additional years; Placed in an on-campus job working a minimum of 10 hours per week; Half of the earnings go directly to the student’s unpaid university account balance and the other half go directly to the student’s bank account; To receive this award, students must be entering ISU in the fall semester; Admission and sign-up deadline: May 1

Note: Students participating in the following cannot also take part in State Works:

  • Intercollegiate Athletics
  • Marching Sycamores
