ISU Study Abroad Office Scholarship for Fall Study Abroad

In an effort to encourage participation in study abroad, scholarship opportunities have been set aside for qualified undergraduates who have applied and been accepted to an ISU Study Abroad Program. Faculty led trips are not eligible for this award. Preference will be given to students who meet the following criteria:

  • Integrate study abroad with their career goals.
  • Participate in an Indiana State University sponsored program.
  • Demonstrate foreign language proficiency earned through College or High School studies.
  • Earn a minimum GPA of 2.5.

If you receive a scholarship from our office, you are required to commit to some sort of service upon your return to ISU. This can be done by the following:

  • Volunteering at the Study Abroad Fair
  • Giving class presentations
  • Writing an article about your experience to be used for promotional materials

  11. Please provide the name and email address of an individual who can recommend you for the Study Abroad Office Scholarship. This reference can be from anyone familiar with your leadership successes and accomplishments, including high school teacher, guidance counselor, or employer. Recommendations from family members will not be accepted. MAKE SURE to ask your reference if they can write a letter for you ahead of time and tell them that they will receive an email from us requesting it. Also tell them what the scholarship application deadline is.
