Thomas G. Sauer Scholarship Fund for Study Abroad

1.Recipient must be enrolled as full-time undergraduate student in an academic major in the College of Arts & Sciences, including Arts and Sciences/Education majors.

2.Recipient must be admitted to (or applying for) a residential international study program or experience approved by the Indiana State University Office of Academic Programs Abroad for academic credit at Indiana State University. Semester, academic year, or summer experiences (minimum length three weeks) are accepted. The scholarship will defray costs of the international study program;

3.Recipient must have achieved sophomore standing by the start of the international study experience;

4.Recipient must have a cumulative Indiana State University GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) or higher; and

5.Application materials should include a completed application form, a statement about how the student expects to benefit from the residential experience (500 word maximum), a letter of recommendation from an Indiana State University faculty member.

Letters of recommendation from family members will not be accepted. MAKE SURE to ask your reference if they can write a letter for you ahead of time and tell them that they will receive an email from us requesting it. Also tell them what the scholarship application deadline is.
